Furniture
will be supplied to the J.B. Schools in TTAADC areas in a phased manner and
teaching aids will be supplied to all the J.B. Schools in TTAADC areas, which
are not presently supplied with teaching aids. |

JB School are opened in TTAADC area under SSA. Accordingly an amount of Rs.
10,000 had already been given to each school for purchasing of Teaching

Edn Deptt= 2003-04 & 2004-05=Dy Director, Education informed that there are 9,405 unenrolled
children in TTAADC areas. The drop out rate from Class I to Class V is 19 %
and 31% from Class VI to Class VIII. Efforts shall be made to target all the
indentified unenrolled shildren. |

Science
stream at the Higher Secondary level in the Higher Secondary Schools in
TTAADC areas will be started in minimum 10 Schools as under: 2004-2005= 3
Schools, 2005-2006= 3 Schools, 2006-2007= 4 Schools. |
Proposal
sent to Director TW regarding starting science stream in Tribal areas vide dt
11/11/03 namely i. Ompi Class-XII School ii. Gamaria Class-XII School, iii.
Birchandra Sahid Smriti Class-XII School iv. Gardhang Class-XII School v.
Bankul Class-XII School. Total – 5 Schools.
2003-04= Name of School
Ompi HS school science stream already started. 2004-05= Dy. Director,
Education, South, Proposal sent earlier regarding Gamaria Class-XII School,
Birchandra Sahid Smriti Class-XII School, Gardhang Class-XII School should
also be pursued. |

the Junior Basic Schools in TTAADC areas not having safe drinking water
source and sanitation facilities will be provided with water and sanitation
facilities. |
For
2003-2004- 111 JB
Schools have been covered for safe drinking water sources under PMGY (DW) ,
SSA & PM’s announcement . For
2004-2005- PM’s announcement total 95 Schools for providing
drinking water facility under the scheme. Total 53 Schools completed.
Total 42 schools in progress. 22 JB Schools is
target to be covered for providing sanitation facilities during 2004-05 under
SSA. 22 JB schools completed. |

Two
more Residential Schools for tribal students would be set up in Sabroom and
Khowai Sub-Division to offer high standard of education and these Schools
would be managed by the Tripura Tribal Welfare Residential School Society
under the Tribal Welfare Department. |
Foundation
stone has been laid on 10/01/2005 in EMRS at Bhuratali, Sabroom, South
Tripura. Expenditure sanction for Rs.
25.00 lakhs received and has been placed with EE RD, South. Total land measuring 29.49 acres. Work order issued. RD materials booked. |
